A 1958 Vintage Simplicity pattern was just the leaping off point I needed.\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003EThe body of the pattern was cut from cotton lawn. \u0026nbsp;To ensure a custom fit, the cups were draped and the straps replaced with something a little more modest.\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003ETaking some vintage Japanese cotton lawn (Kanebo International), the first final piece came together. \u0026nbsp;There are lengths of satin and viscoes waiting for the second and third final pieces.\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003EThere were a few more tweaks as I nipped and tucked my way to the end. \u0026nbsp;Slices taken off here and there. \u0026nbsp;I could have gone on forever.
