Collecting Collectors Cabinets
Wednesday, December 12, 2012
I can't believe I hesitated when I saw this collector's cabinet. The front panel slides up to allow you to place your favorite taxidermied stoat or other such treasures. Today, I'm going for Christmas trees. The panel even slides shut when it isn't being used to hang crochet garlands. I would contemplate collecting these cabinets, just for the irony of collecting collector's cabinets.

These things have to be snapped up when they come on the scene! Great find and very adaptable for all seasons.

that is a great wee cabinet and i'm liking the display in there-are the stripe trees made of paper? i'm thinking it would be a good spot to keep little treasures away from little hands too! thanks for linking up x
ReplyDeleteThe blue trees are felt and made from a pattern over at allsorts.com, there is a little pipe cleaner one in the corner too. The glam wooden one I have to admit that I bought.
DeleteYeah for linking in ::))
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm in love with your cabinet
I love this cabinet and am always on the lookout for things like this especially printers trays. Great find!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to find a printer's tray in the wild, perhaps one day...
