One day I will look up Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) etiquette. I’m not sure if it includes sitting on the grass, eating and playing catch. We felt a little shy and were worried about being culturally insensitive when a Japanese tourist came and took some photos. However, it was a beautiful day and we’ll certainly be back next year.

Hanami Picnic (under the cherry blossoms)
It’s springtime in the Wairarapa and we’re making the most of it. Yesterday we grabbed lunch and headed to the cherry orchard for a picnic.

Hasn't the blossom been glorious this year! Looks like the girls are enjoyed the sun while it was around! xx
ReplyDeleteHaving been in Japan at cherry blossom time this year I think anything goes at a hanami party - eating, drinking, kids playing, people painting, photo taking, watching the cherry blossom snow fall, eating cherry blossom flavoured ice cream and marvelling at the blossom!! Looks like you had a perfect hanami party!
ReplyDeleteI love it ! Very creative ! That's actually really cool Thanks.
